My Mother and Father's 50th Anniversary Room Box.

This is a room box that I made for my Mother and Father's 50th Anniversary celebration on November 12th, 2001.

I had fun with making this as I imagined the day of her wedding.

All I had to work with was my Mother's memory of that day describing to me the color of her dress along with her surroundings at the time. I did have a picture of  that day and incorporated it onto the back dressing wall of the room box.  That is an actual wedding day picture of my Mother and Father in the room box.

I then used a color scheme for the room box that agreed with the color of my Mother's dress. The display is done in tones of off white and gold (to represent 50 years) with touches of blue ( my mom's favorite color) ...

The dress and hat was a replica of her "wedding dress" and the actual picture of them together on their wedding day. Everything else was improvised.

I re-produced her wedding cake as I would have imagined it to be if I were around to make the real wedding cake.
